International Conference of the Korean Society for Educational Technology

November 23rd 2013

Sejong University, Seoul, Korea

 

It is our pleasure to invite you to the international conference hosted by the Korean Society for Educational Technology (KSET). It will be held on November 23rd at Sejong University in Seoul, Korea.

The main theme of this conference is “Toward smart approaches to education: bridging learning theory, technology, application, and teaching practice”. The conference will provide theoretical insights and instructional solutions in the emerging paradigms of advanced learning technologies and media. The conference will address critical questions and answers that guide us on how we can bridge theoretical perspectives and advanced technologies.
 

1. Guidelines for Proposal Submission
- All submissions must be written in English with a normal paper length of 500 words.
- You can also choose to submit proposals for Korean sessions. However, approximately 10 presentations will be assigned to Korean sessions.
- Proposals should be submitted online only.

2. Types of Presentation

There are two types of presentation: 1) concurrent sessions and 2) student papers.

[Concurrent session]
-The proposals submitted for concurrent session will be evaluated into either full paper or brief paper.
 It will be based on the scientific quality in the basis of the significance of the findings and maturity of research for the full paper.
- Full papers: Presentation time is 25 minutes.
- Brief papers: Presentation time is 15 minutes.

[Student paper]
- It is for student participation. The presenter should be a first author even though collaboration with professor(s) is acceptable to submit. Best paper award will be given by session mentors’ evaluation of presentation skill and clarity of study. No Korean presentation.
- Presentation time is 15 minutes.
 

3. Important Dates
- Proposal due: September 23
- Notification of Acceptance: September 30
- Early registration: October 14
- Paper submission: October 27
 

4. Paper submission guidelines
-Concurrent session (full and brief): 5 pages maximum
-Student paper: 3 pages maximum
-Submission template will be provided with the notification of acceptance
